Later this afternoon I fly to historic Mexico City for a
conference on “Protestantism, History and Identity in the Americas.” The conference is sponsored by CFH as well as a host of Latin American organizations and is designed to bring together English and Spanish speaking historians from South, Central, and North America. This kind of interaction across geographical boundaries is especially important given the geo-political nature of the world today and the growth of non-western regions. Joel Carpenter, long time Calvin College professor and Director of the
Nagel Center for World Christianity, has gotten behind this conference and it has received strong support among Christian historians. I will be presenting a paper on Saturday morning.
See the program for more details!
Good luck, Dr. B! Go take Mexico by storm! (Without the pillaging and plundering part.)
